Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa passes away after seventy five days of hospitalization. On Monday night, it was confirmed by Apollo Hospitals. On Sunday, she was admitted to CCU and the reason was cardiac arrest.

The whole country is paying homage to the Amma but we want you to go back to the time of actor turned politician. Furthermore, coming to the reel life of J Jayalalithaa, over 30 years, she acted in 120 films. Moreover, she was one of the top and the graceful actress of her time and was a part of four languages in film industries.

Starting her career at the age of fifteen in 1964 with Chinnada Gombe which is a Kannada film. Sandhya, her mother was also an actress due to the poor financial condition. Moreover, in the 60s and 70s, she dominated the South Indian film industry and working with the biggest well-known and popular stars of Tamil Nadu, Malayalam, Kannada and Telgu. In fact, Manushulu Mamathaluin which was her first Telugu film and she was the National Award winner for best feature film.

Dazzling the big screen with the movies of different genres that includes fantasy, folklore, family dramas and as well as mythologies. Indian cinemas talked about her acting powers; let us rewind the reel back to the time to see the defining moments of her career in the film industry.

1. Vennira Aadai (Tamil Movie in 1965)

This movie is a love story and also the first debut film in Tamil. It shows the love triangle which featured Sreekanth and Nirmala. Moreover, it was a big commercial hit for her. This movie ended up pushing her into stardom. In fact, after this movie her co-star and the music director were Vennira Aadai Nirmala and Vennira Aadai Moorthy.

2. Aayirathil Oruvan (Tamil movie in 1965)

After this movie, she hit a new level in the movie industry and became really popular. Being her first film with MGR. She was a princess Poongodi who is in love with Manimaran. The role of Manimaran is played by MDR. It ran for more than 100 days inn Chennai and as well as other cities and became a commercial hit. With its digitized version was in the year 2014, it ran for 190days.

3. Gudachari 116 (Telugu movie in 1966)

It is an action thriller in which she played the lead role opposite to Telugu superstar Krishna and Shoban Babu, It quickly became a hit as it was inspired from Ian Flemming’s James Bond series. It was also remake in a Bollywood movie Farz.

4. Izzat (Hindi movie in 1968)

She played a role of the spunky Adivasi girl, Jhumki who falls in love with Dharmendra. It was her first and last Hindi film. During this, she showcased her dancing skills and her role earned much appreciation.

5. Adimaippen (Tamil movie in 1969)

Another hit with MGR and played a double role of queen and a peasant. It broke the records of several box offices and created the new one by becoming the first Tamil film to complete 400 houseful shows in four theatres in Chennai.
